Carrier Shares Easy Ways to Keep Your Air Clean During Wildfire Season

by admin477351

INDIANAPOLIS—Wildfire smoke is affecting air quality across the U.S. and Canada, and Carrier wants to help families stay safe indoors.

Smoke can irritate your eyes and lungs, and make conditions like asthma worse. Carrier suggests running your HVAC system on fan mode with a good filter, sealing up cracks to keep smoke out, and using portable air purifiers with HEPA filters.

“Even if you’re inside, wildfire smoke can sneak in,” said Nick Arch, Carrier’s VP of Residential Solutions. “We’ve got tools that help you breathe easier and feel safer at home.”

Carrier offers everything from advanced air filters to portable purifiers. Earlier this year, they gave away thousands of units—worth $2.5 million—to schools and frontline workers in Los Angeles.
