CALGARY, AB – Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is celebrating a big milestone: its Calgary location at 55 Castleridge Blvd NE #156 is officially one year old. Since opening its doors in 2024, the restaurant has become a standout spot for authentic, hickory-smoked Texas barbecue.
The restaurant, part of the largest barbecue concept globally (founded in 1941), is known for serving up classic dishes like slow-smoked brisket and tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs, alongside traditional Southern sides.
Franchisee Jamal Kayani says the community is to thank. “Hitting our one-year anniversary is a fantastic achievement for our team. We’re incredibly grateful to the Calgary community for welcoming us and making us a part of their regular dining and celebrations,” Kayani noted.
The success in Calgary highlights Dickey’s global appeal. Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc., stated: “Calgary has proven how much Canadians love genuine Texas barbecue. Jamal and his team haven’t just opened a restaurant; they’ve created a true community hub where our authentic flavors and famous southern hospitality are thriving.”
This anniversary reinforces Dickey’s commitment to supporting franchisees and continuing its international expansion of its authentic BBQ tradition.
