Türkiye Condemns Israel’s Actions, Says They Prove Lack of Will for Peace

Türkiye’s Communications Director, Burhanettin Duran, has condemned Israel’s latest strikes on Gaza and its parliamentary move to annex the occupied West Bank, saying these actions show that Tel Aviv has no genuine intention of pursuing peace.

Duran said Israel’s attacks, which killed at least nine Palestinians, highlight that it continues to pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability. He described the West Bank annexation bill and the Gaza strikes as part of Israel’s broader plan to sustain occupation and commit atrocities against Palestinians.

He urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for crimes against civilians and to act decisively against its “genocidal policies.” Duran reaffirmed that under President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s leadership, Türkiye will remain steadfast in defending the Palestinian cause and standing “as the voice of justice and humanity.”

The Israeli military launched fresh air and artillery strikes on Gaza this week after accusing Hamas of violating the U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement established under President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan. The move followed Israel’s parliament granting preliminary approval to a controversial bill extending Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, a decision widely condemned internationally.
