President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reaffirmed Türkiye’s determination to prevent any repeat of the Gaza genocide, declaring that the country will use every possible means to pressure Israel and defend the Palestinian cause. Speaking after a Cabinet meeting in Ankara, Erdoğan said Türkiye remains steadfast in opposing what he described as Israel’s crimes against humanity.

Erdoğan welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement in Gaza, noting that it was achieved through Türkiye’s active diplomatic efforts in coordination with international partners. He highlighted signs of hope in Gaza, saying, “For the first time in two years, the faces of Gazan children are smiling again,” as families begin rebuilding their lives after prolonged devastation.

Emphasizing Türkiye’s commitment to lasting peace, Erdoğan praised the Sharm el-Sheikh Declaration, calling it a vital step toward regional stability. He pledged that Türkiye would closely monitor the ceasefire’s implementation alongside the U.S., Egypt, and Qatar, ensuring continued international engagement in the peace process.

Türkiye continues to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, with hundreds of trucks and multiple goodwill ships carrying essential supplies. Erdoğan reiterated that Ankara would stand by the Palestinian people until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, guided by sincerity and a commitment to justice.
